Merrow Ward is a 24-bed ward that looks after patients with a variety of cardiology conditions. We are committed to delivering expert, patient-centred care that supports breathing, recovery and quality of life.
Our services:
We have a heart failure service within the ward that provides specialist diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of patients with heart and circulatory diseases, such as heart attacks, irregular heart rhythms and chronic heart failure.
Working closely with our Coronary Care Unit, we care for patients who are admitted for urgent and emergency care requiring close monitoring. We also care for patients needing close monitoring whilst awaiting specialist procedures in a tertiary hospital.
Cardiac rehabilitation support to help patients recover and regain confidence after a cardiac event.
Our team includes experienced cardiologists, specialist cardiac nurses and cardiac physiologists, supported by other allied health professionals as needed. Working collaboratively, we provide compassionate, round-the-clock care focused on your recovery and wellbeing.
