The Cardiac Day Ward is a five-bed ward specialising in diagnosis and treatment of heart conditions. We are committed to delivering expert, minimally invasive cardiac care - from diagnosis to treatment and recovery.
Patients admitted to the ward are cared for in our Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory, where our team carries out a range of minimally invasive diagnostic and treatment procedures, including:
We have a team of experienced healthcare professionals including cardiology consultants, cardiac nurses, physiologists and radiographers.
Working collaboratively, we are committed to delivering the highest standard of cardiac care - using the latest minimally invasive techniques to support accurate diagnosis, effective treatment and a faster recovery.

Before you visit, please read and follow our infection control information guidelines, which help protect our patients from germs.
You can use our online map to navigate around our site. Head to the East Wing, where you will find stairs and lifts to our ward floors A, B, C, D and E.
rise.local.copper - this will take you to the East Wing lift/stairs lobby.
Walk straight ahead past the reception desk on your right.
Continue past M&S on your left until the corridor becomes a T-junction.
Look for the hospital map on the wall directly in front of you (this can help if you get lost).
Head to the East Wing:
Turn right towards the East Wing.
Walk along the corridor past the lifts.
Final step:
There is a corridor to your right, signposted for the Cardiac Day Ward.
First point of contact: Speak to the ward nurse in charge – we want patients to feel informed and comfortable during their stay.
