Facing cancer can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to go through it alone. At Royal Surrey Cancer Centre, we're dedicated to providing exceptional care – but NHS funding can only go so far. That's where Royal Surrey Charity , our official hospital charity, steps in.

Royal Surrey Charity is the dedicated fundraising arm of Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust. Thanks to the generosity of people like you, it directly supports patients and our amazing NHS staff within the Cancer Centre, throughout our hospitals and in the community.

Our Cancer Centre Fund , a dedicated fund within Royal Surrey Charity, allows us to:

 

  • Provide state-of-the-art equipment and technology: your donations can fund the latest advancements in cancer treatment, ensuring you receive the most effective care available.

 

  • Create a comfortable and welcoming environment: upgraded wards and waiting rooms, thanks to the charity's support, can ease the stress of treatment.

 

  • Invest in research and education: by supporting research and training, we help pave the way for even better cancer treatments in the future.

 

  • Support our NHS heroes: we celebrate and support the staff who dedicate their lives to caring for you.

 

 

How your support makes a difference

 

Thanks to the amazing support of our donors, Royal Surrey Charity has:

 

  • Invested over £750,000 in redeveloping the Cancer Centre's clinical spaces and waiting areas: this renovation has created warm and welcoming patient-focused spaces with improved facilities and easier access for everyone.

 

  • Refurbished our chemotherapy treatment unit (Chilworth): This unit now features beautiful flower murals and a self-service refreshment area, creating a more welcoming environment for patients receiving treatment.

 

  • Funded a cold cap machine for our mobile chemotherapy unit: meaning people with cancer benefit from treatment closer to home. The tightly fitting helmet-like hat is filled with a cold gel or liquid and is worn during chemotherapy to help prevent hair loss.
