Hindhead is a thirty-bed older persons unit under the Division of Access and Medicine specialising in the care of older persons. Hindhead ward has achieved the Quality Mark for Elder friendly hospital wards. The ward environment has been designed to be dementia friendly to support patients living with dementia whilst being in an unfamiliar setting. Length of stay varies depending on the patient’s clinical condition and care needs following discharge. Hindhead ward has a multidisciplinary team which consists of Doctors, Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Case Managers and Social Services with an aim to provide holistic and inclusive care.
Normal visiting times have changed due to Covid-19. You may arrange a visit by contacting the ward and booking an appointment. The ward will complete a risk assessment for each visitor.
Visiting times are 2pm-8pm, Monday-Sunday.
East Wing, Level D. When entering the hospital using the main entrance, proceed straight ahead. Continue past reception located on the right of the foyer. Bear right and proceed down to the end of the corridor. Take the East Wing lifts to level D. Hindhead ward is located on left hand side as you exit the lifts.
