Radiotherapy review team

Radiotherapy can cause some side-effects. Details of these will be discussed with you prior to starting your treatment, as part of the consent process. It is important to remember that these side effects do not affect everyone and are dependent upon the area being treated. Additionally, everyone is an individual and will react to radiotherapy differently.

The radiotherapy review team are made up of site specific radiographers specialising in radiotherapy related side effects.

They work in clinics, prescribe medications and provide advice and guidance for all patients undergoing radiotherapy. They act as a key point of contact to ensure patient safety and wellbeing during treatment.

They also provide advice and support for ongoing acute post treatment related side effects.

If you have any concerns while you are having radiotherapy or in the six weeks following radiotherapy, please contact the radiotherapy review team on 01483 571122 ext 2066 or email rsc-tr.radiotherapyreview@nhs.net.
