Clandon Ward is a nineteen bedded Head and Neck Surgical Ward, and is the Regional Centre for Head and Neck Cancer patients providing expert medical and nursing care for patients undergoing Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and Ear, Nose and Throat surgery. Clandon Ward takes admissions directly from the Emergency Department, Emergency Assessment Unit and also from surrounding hospitals for patients with Maxillofacial or Ear, Nose and Throat conditions requiring an inpatient stay.
Clandon ward has an Ear, Nose and Throat Treatment room where patients are seen as ward attenders, often referred directly from the GP. Patients seen here are treated and either admitted or discharged.
Visiting is currently suspended for this ward. The only exception is with end of life care or if the patient requires a carer.
