Vicki Mumford has this week stepped into the role of Interim Chief Nurse, following the retirement of Jo Mountjoy last week. Vicki has been a much-valued member of the Royal Surrey family for more than 27 years.
She began her journey with us as a staff nurse on Elstead Ward before moving into oncology in 2001.
She progressed to Lead Oncology Nurse, Matron and Divisional Head of Nursing, and for the past two years has served as Professional Director of Nursing and Cancer. Outside her work at the trust, Vicki has also held several system-wide roles relating to cancer care.
As Vicki steps into her new role, Tamsin Enticknap-Green is to become our new Interim Professional Director of Nursing and Patient Experience and Nick Dawson has been appointed Interim Deputy Director of Nursing and Multidisciplinary Education.
Vicki said: “I am honoured to take on the role of Interim Chief Nurse with this incredible organisation. I know I have big shoes to fill and I want to recognise the outstanding contribution of Jo Mountjoy, who has set a strong foundation for the future.
“It has been a privilege to grow my career here, surrounded by colleagues who are dedicated, skilled and deeply committed to our patients. I am excited to continue working alongside you as we build on our strengths, support our teams and deliver the highest standards of care.
“I would also like to welcome Tamsin and Nick into their new roles. I look forward to working closely with them and the nursing leadership team.”
