Royal Surrey and Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals group are pleased to be identified as the preferred partner for a potential strategic partnership with Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (QVH) in East Grinstead. QVH is an internationally recognised centre of excellence for reconstruction and sleep medicine, whilst also providing essential healthcare services for local people.
QVH employs around 1,000 staff and has a strong reputation for clinical excellence, patient outcomes and quality of care. In recent months, QVH has been exploring partnership options to support the long-term sustainability and resilience of its services, inviting expressions of interest from organisations across Surrey and Sussex.
Following a detailed and robust appraisal process with clinicians, staff, patients and stakeholders, QVH’s Board approved a proposal to proceed with a partnership with Royal Surrey and Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals at its public board meeting on 16 December.
Next steps will include further discussion at the Royal Surrey and Ashford and St Peter’s Board meetings in the New Year and a period of mutual planning with QVH.
We will keep all of our members and supporters updated as these discussions progress.
