Cancer Charities - Imogen Smith | Appointed Governors

On leaving education I worked in the fashion industry as a pattern cutter. After I had my children I studied at Royal Holloway University of London as a mature student where I received a first class degree in sociology and politics. I then had a range of jobs eventually working within victim and witness care at Surrey Police for 17 years. I retired in 2023 and have since then been working part time as a fund raiser at GUTS bowel cancer charity based at the Royal Surrey.

I have been married to my husband Gary for over 40 years and have two sons and a newly arrived granddaughter.

In my spare time my husband and I are keen walkers and have completed the coast to coast walk twice. I also enjoy reading and still enjoy fashion and sewing.
