Waverley Public - Paul Charlesworth | Public Governors

I have lived in Godalming for almost thirty years. My early career was in academic research (population biology) and teaching. I later switched to management consultancy, working with an international consulting company engaged predominantly with blue chips and central government. Following participation in a management buy-out in 1998, I continued as a plc. board director.

Since retiring, I have served as trustee on the board of three disability and mental health charities in Hampshire and Surrey and was a founder director of Healthwatch Surrey.

I have particular interests in learning disabilities and mental health and in ensuring that the those least able to articulate their needs receive equality of care within the health and social care systems. 

I am pleased to be able to represent Waverley on the Council of Governors and will endeavour to support the Royal Surrey Foundation Trust in achieving and maintaining the highest standards of healthcare delivery.
