Haslemere Minor Injuries Unit opening times revert to normal
The Haslemere Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) will revert to its normal (pre-Covid) operational hours with effect from 1 June.
The unit’s hours were temporarily extended to provide an additional place for people to seek non-urgent treatment during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Jane Fagan, Associate Director of Operations, who manages the unit, said: “I’m really proud of the team and want to thank them for going above and beyond.
“They saw a need to provide an extended service and didn’t hesitate to rearrange their shift patterns and times, including working additional hours, to facilitate it.
“As we start to resume normal services across the Trust, we will be reverting to our usual opening hours of Monday to Friday: 9am – 5pm (and closed at weekends and bank holidays).
“Please call 01483 782 334 before attending to be triaged and to avoid any unnecessary face to face contact. If you have any symptoms of Covid19 please do not attend and instead call 111.
“I’d also like to thanks the Trauma and Orthopaedic Consultants who have supported the unit during this time.”
Woking walk-in centre will still remain open from 8am - 8pm every day, so if you have a minor injury and Haslemere’s MIU is closed, please attend Woking walk-in.
