State of the art breast screening trial for Guildford women

The Royal Surrey County Hospital and the Jarvis Breast Screening and Diagnostic Centre in Guildford are taking part in a £1.6 million multi-centre trial of a new breast imaging machine, which has the potential to detect breast cancer earlier than before.

The Pritchett and Quddoos families, with the support of The Rotary Club of Ripley and Send, presented a new vital signs monitor to the Royal Surrey’s Maternity Unit. 


Transformed Transitional Care Unit Officially Opened at the Royal Surrey

On the 31st October, the Royal Surrey officially opened the refurbished Transitional Care Unit at the hospital.  The unit is based on the postnatal Shere Ward and allows babies who need extra support to be nursed next to their mum.  


Friends of Cobham Hospital Donate £100,000 to New Endoscopy Unit at the Royal Surrey

The Royal Surrey Maternity Unit are holding a friendly, informal forum for Mums and Dads, who have recently been cared for by them, to share their experience of pregnancy and birth. The sessions are being held at the Bellfields Childrens Centre, from 1.30 – 2.30pm on 9th August, 7th October and 9th December.
