Medirest is a specialist healthcare provider delivering high-quality soft facilities management services to NHS Trusts across the UK. We’ve worked in partnership with Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust since 1994, providing essential support services 24/7, 365 days a year.

We are nationally recognised for excellence as the only service provider to be awarded triple exemplar status from NHS England for soft FM services at Royal Surrey including catering, cleaning and portering. We also provide retail and security support ensuring the trust remains a safe and welcoming environment.

Our values and approach are closely aligned with those of the trust, with a shared focus on creating positive environments and enhancing the wellbeing of patients, visitors and clinical staff.

In addition to our work within the hospital, we also provide key support services across all of the trust’s community services, ensuring the same high standards of quality and care are delivered beyond the main Guildford site.

John Mathias, Medirest Contract Director, said:

“Medirest is delighted to be sponsoring the 2025 Royal Surrey Stars event. It is a privilege to be able to support the trust at this fantastic occasion as we celebrate the achievements of its teams and recognise colleagues for their outstanding contributions across the organisation.”

For 30 years, we’ve supported exceptional care for patients at the Royal Surrey, the Cancer Centre, and more recently, community hospitals in Haslemere, Milford, Cranleigh and our radiotherapy satellite site in Redhill.

Thanks to our amazing supporters, we fund state-of-the-art equipment, create welcoming spaces, invest in staff wellbeing, and support research, training and innovation – all going above and beyond what the NHS alone can provide.

That’s why we’re proud to sponsor Royal Surrey Stars, the Trust’s staff awards. Every day, we hear from patients and families who are inspired to give back because of the incredible care they’ve received. Supporting Royal Surrey Stars is one way we can recognise and thank the outstanding staff who make that care possible.
