Caroline Mullins, Ward Clerk

This year Caroline has been a hugely valued supporter for Royal Surrey Charity, spearheading a fundraising walk.

Caroline, Ward Clerk on Holly Ward at Milford Hospital, has gone above and beyond in her dedication to supporting people living with dementia.

Last October, she reached out with an idea, to organise a 15-mile fundraising walk. She hoped a handful of colleagues might join her, but her enthusiasm proved infectious. Caroline personally planned the route, set up the online giving page, and rallied colleagues to get involved.

By April, what started as a small idea had grown into something much bigger. On the day, 28 staff members from across Milford Hospital, the Discharge Team, Admiral Nurses, Ewhurst Ward and Hindhead Ward laced up their trainers and walked side by side.

Thanks to Caroline’s drive and determination, the walk raised just over £2,400 to support dementia care, and there are already plans to make it an annual event.

She thoroughly deserves the recognition of this award.
