How to Find Us
We are situated along the main corridor on the same level as the Hospital front door. Alternatively we can be accessed at the rear of the hospital through the newer “Minor Injuries and Out Patient” entrance, using the lift or stairs.
We provide x-ray services to GP patients, inpatients from the wards, Minor Injury patients and Out Patient clinics from the Royal Surrey County Hospital.
It is a legal requirement to have an appropriate X-Ray request form.
We provide an Ultrasound scanning service; the requests for this are mailed directly to us from the referring doctors. Patients receive an appointment in the post.
GP X-Ray Requests
All GP requests require an appointment which can usually be provided within a couple of working days. Once a Referral form has been issued, patients can contact the department to choose a convenient time. Please bring your request form with you to your appointment.
We can accommodate private patients. Appointments are made through our usual telephone number.
For GP patients, the results will be sent to your GP practice within 10 days of your appointment. If urgent we will endeavour to get a result back to the GP sooner.
Patients referred from the Minor Injuries Unit are reviewed after their examination.
Most outpatient clinics do not require a formal report to be issued by Radiology. If they do, it will be available to them within 1 week.
