The internet can be an invaluable source of information for patients and doctors. However there is no control over the quality of most of the information we access.
HON tries to address this:
HONcode is the oldest and the most used ethical and trustworthy code for medical and health related information available on the internet. It is designed for two audiences: the general public and the web publisher, actively involving the site owner in the process of accreditation.
