He held a number of leadership posts including interim Medical Director at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.
He said: “Living in Godalming, the chance to play a part in my local health service is a great opportunity and I am very pleased to be joining the Trust at such an exciting time.
“The Trust’s part in delivering adult community health services is something that really attracted me to the role, as was having the chance to use my experience and give something back and be part of a really stable and solid organisation.
“I have been impressed with the range of services the Trust offers and its willingness to work with other partners and collaborate beyond the hospital.
“I have been made very welcome and have commented to friends and family how very friendly and supportive everyone has been.”
Sue Sjuve, the Trust Chair, welcomed David to the Trust on behalf of the Board and staff and partners.
