The big conversation – Post Covid-19 innovation, technology and adaptions in our healthcare service
Technology has been vital in helping our hospitals manage the overwhelming pressure placed on services since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. The use of specially designed smartphones to conduct virtual ward rounds, to video conferencing and remote appointments with GPs, clinical teams and patients, technology has allowed us to continue treating our patients and saving lives.
Join Royal Surrey on the 6 October 5pm – 6pm for an interactive presentation about technology in healthcare. Listen to Dr Justin Kirk-Bayley, Clinical Lead for Intensive Care (ICU) and Claire Richardson, Clinical Nurse Specialist, to hear how we have embraced virtual technology in the ICU and on the wards.
Jennie Price, Associate Director of Operations, Diagnostics and Clinical Support Division and Katy Heaney, POCT Specialty Lead, Consultant Biochemist Berkshire & Surrey Pathology Services will share how innovative advancements in point of care testing for Covid-19 transformed the speed of decision making and saved lives with early detection and isolation of Covid-19 cases.
