Trust welcomed some special visitors to mark Biomedical Science Day
In honour of Biomedical Science Day, the Trust welcomed some special visitors from NHS England and Improvement (NHSE/I).
Amanda Pritchard, Chief Operating Officer for NHSE/I, and David Wells, National Covid-19 Lead, were on site to tour our brilliant pathology facilities and to meet the teams who are vital to the pandemic response.
The pathology teams are responsible for testing and analysing covid-19 samples and have been working hard to ensure fast and effective testing.
Louise Stead, Chief Executive, said: “I was delighted to welcome Amanda and David to acknowledge the fantastic work being provided within our Trust labs. The established partnership we have with BSPS has been so helpful throughout the pandemic. The team’s responsiveness and adaptability has enabled us to respond quickly to the national picture.”
