Surgeon awarded Trainers’ Trainer of the Year prize

Miss Carrie Newlands, Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

Miss Carrie Newlands, Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, who has been at Royal Surrey since 2003, has been awarded the ‘Trainers’ Trainer of the Year 2020’ prize by the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (BAOMS).

The BAOMS President wrote, “It gives me great pleasure to congratulate you on winning the Trainers’ Trainer of the Year 2020 competition. This success clearly demonstrates how the Training Programme Directors, who judged this award, valued the qualities listed on your nomination form”

Carrie said: “I am honoured to have been put forward by the trainees for this award. It also demonstrates how well our organisation enables its staff to deliver high quality education to junior doctors.”
