Living in Milford

Milford is a beautiful, friendly village in Surrey in the South East of England.

We are 15 minutes from the town of Guildford and you could be in the centre of London via train within one hour.

The village of Milford has an array of local shops, a post office and some lovely primary schools ideal for family life.

Milford is close to Godalming, a lovely ancient coaching town delightfully situated on the picturesque River Wey, where you will find an array of good shopping, unique individual shops and a good local market. Trains run from Milford and only take 2 minutes and buses run regularly.

Milford Community Hospital

Milford Community Hospital is a community Frailty Unit with a multi-disciplinary team providing care to older patients.

There are currently 30 beds across two wards. The wards are called Holly and Oak and are situated in Tuesley Unit.

The ward has a team of doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and healthcare assistants. We have good access to specialist support teams like Dieticians and Podiatry.

The hospital is set in lovely grounds and has a secluded garden much enjoyed by patients and their visitors and also has a diagnostic assessment and treatment centre. We also run specialist clinics to treat multiple sclerosis, podiatry and parkinson's.

Our local community hospital in Milford is part of our adult community health service.

Travel to Milford Community Hospital

The rail and bus network across Surrey are first-rate and South Western Railway operates a train from Milford to Guildford every 20 minutes. Tickets cost £5 - £12 and the journey takes only 12 minutes.

Alternatively, stagecoach South operates a bus from Milford to Guildford, hourly. Tickets cost £3 -£5 and the journey takes 26 minutes. The rail and bus network across Surrey are first-rate with regular fast services connecting to London Waterloo and London Victoria rail stations and can take approximately 1 hour.

Surrey has two international airports on its boundaries, Gatwick airport (located to the east of the county) and Heathrow airport (located to the north west of the county) offering excellent air connections both for internal and international visitors.
