We are committed to investing in our colleagues as well as our hospital environment. Important improvement highlighted in our strategy 2022-2025 include:

  • A new community diagnostic centre. This state-of-the-art facility will include two MRI scans, a CT scanner, an ultrasound, x-ray and a range of community based diagnostic services in a £15m investment programme.
  • A £6.2m building project to expand and modernise St Luke’s cancer centre, which is the fourth largest cancer centre in England and a major referral centre across the south east. The new plans will double the clinical space and create welcoming, patient-focused spaces with more facilities and easy access between waiting areas, clinical rooms and patient services. Find out more about our plans for St Luke’s.
  • New catheterization lab and Interventional Radiology suite with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities.
  • A new Cancer and Surgical Innovation Centre with the latest treatments and technology, supported by MP Jeremy Hunt.
  • Embedding our electronic patient record system.
  • Investment in maternity services to ensure continued compliance with Ockenden recommendations.
