Update Dec 30 2020: Our homebirth service is currently unavailable due to the Covid pandemic. We will restart this service as soon as we can so that women have a range of choices available to them.
We have a dedicated and enthusiastic team of midwives who look after women who choose to have their babies at home.
They are all passionate about home birth and are equipped with the knowledge and expertise to not only achieve the safest outcomes for mother and baby, but also provide a positive birthing experience.
If you opt to give birth at home, a member of the team will support and care for you throughout your pregnancy, birth, and the first few weeks as a new parent.
A single named midwife will provide the majority of your care, but there will be opportunities to meet all of the team through forums and home visits.
Women can refer themselves or be referred to the Home Birth Team at any stage during their pregnancy by their Community Midwife.
If you would like to have your baby at home or want more information, there are several ways of contacting us to book an appointment, or you can come and meet us at one of our forums.
You can either express interest with your current community midwife who will forward your details to the team and we will contact you, or you can contact the team directly via email firstname.lastname@example.org.
