For staff who need to drive to work we operate a permit scheme. This is broken down as follows:

Please be aware that parking onsite is limited, and to ensure that essential car users have access to a parking place we offer a number of other travelling solutions.
Parking permits for on site parking will only be issued to new applicants who live outside of the 1½ mile restricted area and meet any of the following criteria:
Applicants who do not meet the above criteria will be offered a permit and bus pass for the free Park & Ride service if they live within the designated catchment area, or if a suitable travel route to the Park & Ride is possible.
Applicants for whom there is no immediate parking solution will be entered on a waiting list database managed by the Travel Plan Coordinator. The waiting list will be updated on a monthly basis and parking permits will be issued when the Trust’s Travel Plan targets have been met.
Car sharing (Discounted)Parking is at least 50% the cost of a regular permit as the cost is shared between the car sharers.You must be part of the Trust Car Sharing Scheme and cannot live within restricted area.
Low Emission Vehicles (Discounted)Vehicle details will be verified to ensure they meet the DVLA low emission band (zero road tax).
Volunteers (free)Volunteers may apply for a free, on-site car park pass
Pre-pay Scratch CardsApplicable for temporary (bank or agency), contracting and other non-permanent staff (assignments of 3 months or over). Minimum 30 parking episode purchase - £1.00 per day.
Plot 23Plot 23, has restricted parking hours for Trust Employees to reduce congestion along Gill Avenue as part of the planning permission granted for this area. Parking is restricted with no vehicle movements: Between 8.00am—9.30amBetween 4.30pm —6.00pmPermits are issued to Trust Employees who have suitable working hours.
The Trust offers a free park and ride service for staff living in the Fleet, Camberly, Frimley, Bracknell, Wokingham, Basingstoke, East Woking, Aldershot, Ash, Godalming, Farncombe and Milford areas.

All staff who live within a 1.5 radius of the Hospital are unable to park on site, in order to free parking spaces for those travelling from outside Guilford. To find out if you live within the restricted area click here.
We recognise that this may not be suitable for all staff in the area and do to make exemptions to the rule where necessary. Please contact the travel plan coordinator 01483 571122 ext 2426 to find out more.
Parking is free. Shower and locker facilities are provided in the Trust Employees changing rooms on Level A. Bikes for the NHS Tax Free Cycle to Work SchemeTrust employees that have a substantive contract are eligible to apply for a tax free bicycle in return for a reduction in salary over a 12 month period. The bicycle remains the property of the Trust until the end of the 12 month period when the employee will be given the opportunity to take ownership of the bike for a nominal one off payment (typically 10% of the initial value).
Bicycle RoutesFrom the www.surreycc.gov.uk/ website there is a section on Cycle Guides and Surrey Cycle Guide No. 4 provides a map showing recommended cycling routes and locations of cycling facilities in Ash, Farnham, Godalming, Guildford, Puttenham, Tongham and Worplesdon.
Season ticket loans for a rail/bus
The Trust will purchase the season ticket on behalf of the employee who repays the total amount by instalments from their salary over the same period of time as the validity of the season.
Access by Rail
Guildford train station is on the main line between London Waterloo and Portsmouth, with Reading and Dorking connections. A fast, frequent service is available with trains running approximately every 20mins. For further information contact the 24 hour Passenger Information line on 08457 48 49 50.
Access by Bus
There is a regular bus service to the hospital directly from the Guildford Friary Bus Station and the rear entrance of Guildford Railway station along Guildford Park Road.
