Kent Surrey and Sussex CRN
The Kent Surrey and Sussex (KSS) Clinical Research Network (CRN) is hosted by the Royal Surrey County Hospital.
The KSS CRN supports research across the region by providing infrastructure and support to allow trusts to conduct high quality clinical research.
The support is integral in offering our patients the opportunities to take part in clinical research and ensure that studies are carried out efficiently.
Surrey Clinical Trials Unit
The Surrey CTU is an academic trials unit that has the experience, expertise and infrastructure to develop, organise and manage high quality, Phase II and III multi-centre, randomised controlled trials (including trials of Investigational Medicinal Products) of national and international importance
The Surrey Clinical trials Unit is able to guide researchers through the process of protocol development through to trial delivery.
South East Research Design Service
The Research Design Service (RDS) provides expert research design and methodological support to health and social care researchers across the region to develop grant applications to the NIHR and other national peer reviewed funding programmes. The service is funded by the National Institute of Health Research to provide confidential advice free of charge.
The South East RDS service covers the Kent Surrey and Sussex region with the Surrey service based at the University of Surrey.
Surrey Cancer Research Institute
The Surrey Cancer Research Institute is a Clinical Academic Group (CAG) within Surrey Health Partners (SHP) working in partnership with Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS FT, St Luke’s Cancer Centre, the St Luke’s Cancer Alliance, University of Surrey, Ashford and St Peter’s NHS FT and other organisations to deliver world class research into cancer treatment and service delivery.
The Surrey Cancer Research Institute, led by Professor Hardev Pandha, aims to be the ‘umbrella’ encompassing all types of research, a mechanism of communication to facilitate interactions and collaborations. In this way we can share resources and work together on ways to secure research funding.
