An innovative cardiology unit providing most aspects of cardiac investigations and treatment staffed by a dedicated team of cardiologists, nurses and technicians.

Investigations include coronary angiography performed in our cardiac catheter lab with an adjoining cardiac day ward, permanent pacing including complex pacing and catheter ablation for cardiac arrhythmia.

We have facilities for cardiac MR scanning, CT coronary angiogram and myocardial perfusion scanning in conjunction with radiology, exercise testing, echocardiography including stress and perfusion echos, 24 hour ECGs and BP monitors, MVO2 testing and cardiomemos.

We also provide nurse specialists in heart failure, chest pain and cardiac rehabilitation. Cardiology inpatients usually stay on Merrow ward, Coronary Care Unit.

We also see day case patients in the cardiac day ward.
