Royal Surrey County Hospital Recognition Awards 2009 - Your chance to acknowledge a Royal Surrey staff member who has made a very positive impact on your care or treatment.
The Royal Surrey has opened the nominations for the hospital's Recognition Awards. Nominations for the "Patients' Choice" award close at 5pm on the 14th August.
The Recognition Awards, which are organised by the Trust, celebrate the achievements of staff members who have gone beyond the call of duty, made significant improvements to the service or department they work in or generally deserve recognition for their part in the hospital.
There is a "Patients' Choice" award, for members of the public, who have been treated at the Royal Surrey, to nominate a member of staff that they feel truly deserves to be recognised for the care that they have provided them.
Michael Pantlin, Director of HR and Organisational Development said:
"We opened nominations from staff a couple of weeks ago and we have already had a huge influx of people wanting to put their colleagues and departments forward for awards.
"We are now calling on our patients to nominate any members of staff who they believe deserve to be acknowledged with an award."
Nominated staff in the all the categories will be judged by a panel, made up of Directors from the Trust Board and staff representatives, based on the applications submitted. Awards are then presented to the winners at a ceremony in September.
