12th July, 7pm, Education Centre
Do you know what you should about prostate cancer? The Royal Surrey County Hospital is holding a Prostate Cancer Event for Foundation Trust members, friends and family, on Tuesday 12th July at 7pm in the Education Centre at the hospital.
The evening will be led by consultant urologist and prostate cancer specialist, Professor Stephen Langley. It will be an opportunity to learn more about prostate cancer from screening and detection, through to the state of the art treatment offered at the Royal Surrey.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer killer of men in the UK, yet most men don’t know much about it. Each year approximately 35,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer in this country and some 10,000 die each year from the disease. Early diagnosis and rapid treatment is vital to improving survival rates.
If you would like further information about this members’ health event or to register for the event please contact Jo Green on 01483 571122 ext 2318 or e-mail rsc-tr.membership@nhs.net. Friends and family of Royal Surrey Foundation Trust members, who are not currently members, will have the opportunity to sign up to join the Trust during the evening.
