January 22, 2009
The Royal Surrey County Hospital is running a sign up event on the 31st January 2009 to round off its three month NHS Foundation Trust public consultation and recruit more members. The event will take place between 11am and 2pm outside the Guild Hall in the town centre.
There will be free refreshments, live music, face painting, "How clean are your hands" demonstrations by our Infection Control team and many other departments from the hospital showcasing their services. The Royal Surrey's sign up squad will be on hand to help the public express an interest in becoming members of the Foundation Trust.
Royal Surrey County Hospital Chief Executive Nick Moberly said:
"It is important for us to show that we have strong support for our NHS Foundation Trust application through a solid base of local people, patients and our staff signing up to become members. It is completely free to join and a great way of supporting the Royal Surrey. We also want to thank everyone who has supported us so far."
Special guests Anne Milton, MP for Guildford, and Jeremy Hunt, MP for South West Surrey, will be at the event to help sign up members. The event will be a great opportunity to show your support for your local hospital, meet some of the Royal Surrey staff and your local MPs.
