Response to Surrey Advertiser Car Park story

The article in this week's (10^th July) Surrey Advertiser regarding car parking at the Royal Surrey is inaccurate.  The Royal Surrey County Hospital is currently consulting with staff on proposals regarding staff car parking and permit allocation at the Trust.  As part of the proposals the hospital is looking into providing a free park and ride at a site on the Aldershot Road for employees to get to and from the hospital between Monday and Friday.  The aim of the proposals is to ease the pressure on parking and traffic congestion at the site, making parking more accessible for patients and visitors.  We do not have any plans to extend the free park and ride to patients and visitors.
