A young patient called Evie Reddick, has donated an iPad to Hascombe Children’s Ward with money her and her family have raised for the Royal Surrey.

11 year old Evie has been a patient of the Royal Surrey since she was a baby, often spending many weeks in hospital due to illnesses caused by a condition she was born with called Di George Syndrome.

Royal Surrey Chairman, Peter Dunt, said:

“Donations of this kind are very important to the hospital and very gratefully received.  Having an iPad to use on Hascombe Ward will make a massive difference to our young patients and provide entertainment and a distraction, particularly if they are with us for long periods of time.  This is such a thoughtful gift from Evie and her family and we really appreciate all their efforts to raise the money to purchase this for us.”

A massive thank you must go to everyone who supported Evie’s fundraising including; Lynn, Mark, staff and customers at Cromwell’s coffee shop in Cranleigh, Annett’s Salon in Great Bookham and Simon from Sitec IT Limited.  Evie raised £800 and was able to buy two iPads; one for great Ormond Street and one for the Royal Surrey.
