What we do
Supporting the Royal Surrey County Hospital Charitable Fund
The hospital has always been at the heart of the community and has grown substantially since it began in 1866, when it was the first voluntary hospital in Guildford, funded only by public donations.
It is thanks to the kindness of individuals, community groups, businesses and charitable trusts that here at the Royal Surrey County Hospital we have been able to invest in innovative new equipment, major redevelopment projects and other initiatives over the years – always with our focus firmly on the needs of the patient, improving care, and remaining at the forefront of treatment provision.
The Royal Surrey County Hospital Charitable Fund is an umbrella organisation, which incorporates over 70 different trust funds related to different areas of the hospital – from the St Luke’s Cancer Centre through to the Special Care Baby Unit.
Our vision is to ensure that The Royal Surrey County Hospital can offer the best possible patient care and medical treatment. However, we cannot do this without your help! Any donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference.
We deserve a hospital we can continue to be proud of, and together we can be sure we’ll get there.
