Please Avoid coming to Hospital if you have had Diarrhoea or Vomiting in the Last 48 hours

Along with many other hospitals, the Royal Surrey is currently experiencing an increase in the number of patients coming to the hospital with diarrhoea and vomiting.

If you have suffered from diarrhoea or vomiting the last 48 hours please do not come to the hospital:

- for a routine appointment – please contact the appointment centre on 01483 571122 ext 4002 to reschedule.

- to visit a patient – you risk spreading the illness to patients who are already very poorly.

- attend A & E unless it is a genuine emergency

If you have an urgent hospital appointment, such as an oncology appointment, please contact the relevant department to check before you attend.

If you have not had any symptoms in the last 48 hours you can visit the hospital as planned but please remember to wash your hands at every opportunity using the hand rubs around the hospital to minimise the chance of you spreading any infections.
