The Royal Surrey County Hospital has been named as one of the CHKS 40Top Hospitals 2012. Healthcare intelligence and improvement services specialist CHKS announced the winners of its Top Hospitals programme awards at a ceremony in London on Tuesday 1st May.
This is the ninth time in 12 years that the Royal Surrey has been named as a CHKS 40Top hospital. The award is based on the evaluation of 23 key performance indicators covering safety, clinical effectiveness, health outcomes, efficiency, patient experience and quality of care.
Royal Surrey Chief Executive Nick Moberly said;
“To be acknowledged with this 40Top Hospitals award for the fifth time in a row is a huge credit to the staff that work here. The award is decided on a broad range of criteria so our patients can be assured that we are performing to a high standard across all areas of healthcare. Our priority as a Trust is to provide safe, high quality care for our patients and moving forward we want to continue to provide an excellent service for the communities we serve.”
