  • The department specialises in acute medicine, stroke, falls, Parkinson’s disease & rehabilitation
  • Outpatient clinics are held in Guildford, Haslemere, Cranleigh & Godalming  (Milford Hospital)
  • Day Hospitals are located in Guildford and Godalming (Milford Hospital)

The following care for adults of all ages is provided:

  • Acute medical emergencies, inpatient care & outpatient follow-up
  • Specialist emergency stroke thrombolysis 24 hours a day, seven days a week
  • Stroke Unit inpatient care & rehabilitation
  • TIA/minor stroke clinics
  • Tilt table testing for unexplained collapse

The following care is provided specifically for older people:

  • Inpatient investigation, treatment & rehabilitation
  • General medical outpatient clinics
  • Parkinson’s disease clinics
  • Day Hospital comprehensive multidisciplinary assessment
  • Day Hospital falls service
  • Domiciliary visits at the request of the patient’s GP
