The Maxillofacial surgery and orthodontics department looks after patients with diseases and problems concerning the mouth, face, jaws and neck.
Maxillofacial surgery includes the diagnosis and management of facial injuries, head and neck cancers, salivary gland diseases, facial disproportion, facial pain, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, impacted teeth, cysts and tumours of the jaws as well as numerous problems affecting the oral mucosa such as mouth ulcers and infections.
The orthodontic consultants and their team provide care for adult and paediatric patients with more complex orthodontic needs, including those with facial deformity, and cleft lip and palate.
