Gynaecology encompasses two distinct specialist areas of surgical practice.

The Regional Gynaecological Oncology Unit 

Provides highly specialist expertise in the management of gynaecological cancer, using the latest techniques and technology, with dedicated clinics and access to oncology support.

The Gynaecology Service

Provides a comprehensive service to patients with a wide range of gynaecological conditions, in a dedicated unit.  Services include:

The Early Pregnancy Clinic offers a dedicated service to women experiencing problems in early pregnancy up to 12 weeks gestation.

The Colposcopy Service sees and treats patients referred from GPs and from Gynaecological Clinics.

The Abnormal Uterine Bleeding Clinic provides a one-stop service with hysteroscopy performed as an outpatient procedure.

Meet the team

All of the consultants have a sub-specialty interest, and, except for the two Gynaecological Oncologists, also practice Obstetrics with regular Ante-Natal Clinics and sophisticated scanning facilities.
