ROYAL SURREY COUNTY HOSPITAL ANNUAL HEALTH CHECK 2007/08 DECLARATION

The Royal Surrey County Hospital is pleased to declare full compliance with the Healthcare Commission's core standards from April 2007 to March 2008. The standards are a key part of the Healthcare Commission's Annual Health Check and the ratings for 2007/08 will be published in the Autumn. The standards fall into seven categories:  

  • Safety
  • Clinical and cost effectiveness
  • Governance
  • Patient focus
  • Accessible and responsive care
  • Care environment and amenities
  • Public health

The standards are measured in a number of ways and comments are included from the Strategic Health Authority NHS South East Coast, the Royal Surrey Patient and Public Involvement Forum, Surrey PCT and Surrey County Council Health Scrutiny Committee.
