Choice, Access and Continuity of Care via your - Community Midwife - General Practitioner, or - Royal Surrey County Hospital Antenatal Clinic
It is especially requested that persons with coughs, colds or anyone who has been in contact directly or indirectly with infectious diseases, should not visit the department because of the risk of cross infection.
Please do not visit if you are unwell and for 48 hours after diarrhoea or vomiting.
Hand hygiene gel is available at the entrance to each ward and ward bay.
Please take care to supervise children at all times to avoid splashing into the face.

We have a team of community midwives who care for you in pregnancy and when you go home after your baby is born.
How to Find Us
Directions from M25: Leave Junction 10 of M25 for A3 to Guildford. Hospital exit from A3: signposted on approach to Cathedral.
Level G: Top Floor West Wing, Main Building
Level B: Ground Floor, Main Building: near Main Hall Reception area.
There is a Feeding and Baby Changing Room just before you enter Antenatal Clinic, on the right hand side.
There is a secure entry system. Press the buzzer and wait to be admitted.
This is to ensure the safety of newborn babies. Please don't allow anyone who is not in your group to enter unless permitted by the Reception staff.
Visiting Times for Partners
Delivery Suite: 24 hrs, Birthing Partner only.
Antenatal/Postnatal Wards: There is open visiting on the antenatal and postnatal wards for partners only, from 0900 - 2200.
We operate a protected meal time between 1200 and 1300. Please avoid visiting during this time.
Visiting Times for all other visitors
Delivery Suite: Birthing Partners only.
Antenatal (St Catherine's) Ward: 1000 - 1200 1500 - 1900
Postnatal (Shere) Ward: 1500 - 1900
There is a protected meal-time policy, between 1200 - 1300.
During normal visiting hours, only 2 visitors at a time, please, per bedside. Only a mother's own children may visit, accompanied by an adult. Other children must be over 12 years.
Responsibility cannot be taken for the loss of any valuable items, money or personal effects brought into hospital. It is therefore requested that valuables be kept at/or taken home.
Mobile phones are not permitted in the Unit.
Once you are booked to have your baby at the Royal Surrey County Hospital you may join a tour of the Maternity Unit on Saturdays or Sundays. You are welcome to bring your birth partner.
Please call Delivery Suite: 01483 464133 at 8 am on the morning of the tour to check that a tour will be taking place and to book your place (limited numbers).

For Health and Safety reasons it is not possible for toddlers to attend this tour.
Some Parentcraft Classes and Physical Preparation for Childbirth Classes include a tour of the Maternity Unit (see details of ‘Antenatal & Parenting Preparation')
