Royal Surrey staff celebrate Foundation Trust status

Royal Surrey staff celebrate Foundation Trust status

As a Foundation Trust we place a great emphasis on listening to and involving staff, patients and local communities in how the hospital is run. Membership enables you to give your views on the Trusts activities and influence the development of the Trust’s services. If you are not already a member, join us to day.

Why should I become a member?

  • Foundation Trust membership is completely free!
  • As a member of the Foundation Trust you get regular updates on what is happening at the hospital.
  • Members will also be consulted on future major plans for the hospital and be invited to special members’ events.
  • You will also have the opportunity to elect governors to represent your interests to the board of directors, or to stand as a governor yourself. You can contact your elected governors to make your views known.
  • You need to be a member to be eligible for appointment as the Chair or as a Non-Executive Director.
  • Members are also entitled to use the NHS discount scheme.

Can anyone become a member?

To become a member of the Royal Surrey Foundation Trust you must be 16 years or over and either live within our catchment area (Guildford, Waverley, Mole Valley, Woking, East Hampshire, Elmbridge and Chichester) or have been a patient or carer of a patient within the last three years
