The Royal Surrey County Hospital has been named as one of the CHKS 40 Top Hospitals 2009. These awards celebrate excellence amongst CHKS clients across the UK and are based on the evaluation of 21 key performance indicators covering safety, clinical effectiveness, health outcomes, efficiency, patient experience and quality of care.
The winners were announced at an awards ceremony in London hosted by CHKS, the UK's leading independent provider of healthcare intelligence and quality improvement services. The only data-driven healthcare awards in the UK, the CHKS Top Hospitals Programme celebrates the success of healthcare providers across the UK and internationally.
Nick Moberly, Chief Executive of the Royal Surrey County Hospital said:
"This is a fantastic achievement for everyone at the Royal Surrey and we have worked very hard to ensure that the services we provide are high quality and our patients get the best care possible. This is the second year we have received a Top 40 hospital award and we hope to continue this success in future years.
