Statement from the Royal Surrey

The Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has carefully considered how it might partner with Epsom Hospital to form a successful Foundation Trust and local facility for the people it serves. 

Part of this process has included exploring some exciting and innovative options for the delivery of healthcare on the Epsom site. 

We have really enjoyed meeting and working with staff and stakeholders from Epsom and it is very clear that there is a good cultural fit between the two organisations. 

However, following a great deal of analysis, thought and discussion, and given the broader range of strategic options we are currently considering, we do not feel able to proceed at this stage.   

We would very much welcome the opportunity to revisit the possibility of working with Epsom, should circumstances change in the future.
